GEORGE BALANCHINE’S
ALLEGRO BRILLIANTE
A beloved Balanchine piece and forever the favourite for its virtuosity and expansive quality.

Licensed by The George Balanchine Trust for the 2026 season, this iconic work was described by Balanchine as containing everything he knew about classical ballet in thirteen minutes.
The piece, danced by one lead couple and eight corps de ballet, is defined by the fast tempo of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and presents a challenge for any dancer. However the virtuoso display of choreography is a delight for both the cast and spectators alike and truly stands as a benchmark work for any classical ballet company.
