KIRSTEN ISENBERG’S
REVERIE
An ethereal masterpiece set to Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Reverie has become a signature work of the company, captivating audiences with its dreamlike meditation on movement and music.
The very first work created on the company, Reverie holds a special place in the repertoire. Choreographer Kirsten Isenberg originally completed two of the three movements of the sumptuous, romantic Piano Concerto No.2 for Salt, company’s first triple debut and official launch.
The final movement was completed for the second triple bill, Breathwords. Created on the full company, the one-act ballet blends a soft aesthetic magnetism with an exploration of the athletic expression of the human body.
