STUDENTS 15 & OVER
For dancers aged 15 years and older, the BalletFutures© Professional Training Programme consists of 4 classes per week and becomes the students’ primary ballet school.
- This high level of focus is crucial for developing technical excellence that requires training of exceptional quality with experienced teachers and coaches.
- The aim of this programme is to prepare young dancers to work professionally at a globally aligned level, and create a new generation of fully equipped South African dancers.
- All students receive tuition on 1 Saturday per month.
- Homeschooled students participate in 1 company class per week.
- The BalletFutures© Programme is the formally associated feeder school for the Cape Ballet Africa Company. This link provides students of high technical proficiency exposure to the company’s classical ballet productions.
- Each candidate is assessed by audition on a case-by-case basis where the focus is on physical ability, knowledge of classical ballet language, ability to assimilate corrections accurately, and an obvious love for the study.
