Duende, a word used in everyday modern language to describe someone who possesses a magnetic inexplicable charm, charisma or allure.
Commissioned for the 2026 quadruple bill ELYSIUM, Michelle Reid, a beloved South African choreographer, was inspired by the music of Spanish guitarist Estas Tonne in the creation of her second work for Cape Ballet Africa.
The rhythmic dynamics and choreographic influence from Spanish Dance, is artfully developed on the classical ballet dancers, confidently displaying their artistic versatility.
